Visa on Arrival
Visitors can obtain a Tanzanian visa upon arrival at the airport.
You must complete a visa form and present your passport at the counter.
Your passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months.
Visa fees:
US citizens: $100 USD
Other nationalities: $50 USD
eVisa (Online Visa)
Travelers may also apply for a Tanzanian visa online via the official immigration website: https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/
The process involves:
Filling in an online application form
Making the payment
Submitting supporting documents for review
You can track the status of your application online and receive notifications via email.
Important: Only use the official Tanzania Immigration website; avoid third-party websites.
Steps for eVisa Application:
Provide basic details: email, passport number, issuing country, and a security question with its answer.
Start a new application and fill in all required fields accurately.
Upload supporting documents as instructed:
Passport photo: JPEG/PNG, ≤300 KB
Passport copy: JPEG/PNG, ≤300 KB, valid ≥6 months
Other supporting documents: PDF, ≤1 MB
Processing time: approximately 15 days. Plan ahead to ensure timely processing.

Vaccination Requirements
To enter Tanzania, travelers may need the following:
COVID-19: Negative certificate required; test must be done within 72 hours before arrival.
Yellow Fever: Required if arriving from a high-risk country or transiting ≥6 hours through such regions. For a list of high-risk countries, see: CDC Yellow Fever Map
Visa Exemptions
Citizens of certain countries do not require a visa to enter Tanzania.
