You begin with a morning transfer from Arusha to Momella Gate, where your park ranger joins the group. The trek starts gently through rich montane forest alive with giraffes, colobus monkeys, buffalo, and woodland birds. The trail offers waterfalls, open glades, and views of the Meru crater wall.
After 4–5 hours of scenic hiking, you reach Miriakamba Hut, surrounded by thick forest and misty mountain air. Dinner and overnight at the hut.

After breakfast, you ascend through the forest into heather and moorland. The views open dramatically toward the crater and the Ash Cone.
Upon arrival at Saddle Hut, enjoy lunch and rest before an acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820m). This short climb strengthens your adaptation and offers panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Return to Saddle Hut for dinner and early rest.

Shortly after midnight, you begin your ascent under the stars, climbing toward Rhino Point and following the narrow volcanic ridge to the summit.
Reach Socialist Peak at sunrise—one of Africa’s most spectacular viewpoints, with Kilimanjaro glowing in the first light and the entire crater unfolding below.
Descend to Saddle Hut for a hot meal, then continue down to Miriakamba Hut for a relaxing final night.

A gentle 2–3 hour descent through forest and meadows leads you back to Momella Gate. Wildlife is often seen along this final section.
Your driver meets you for a comfortable return transfer to Arusha—ending a rewarding and beautifully scenic adventure.
